The History of Brant Terra Homes
The history of Brant Terra Homes Ltd. starts 20 years ago when Jim joined the business with his father Jack Speelziek, Starlite Homes Ltd. and brother Ed Speelziek, Brant Star Developments. Retiring from Stelco, Jim started building single family homes, after 10 years Jim moved into condominium building, which he builds exclusively. With many projects under his belt, including Grand Terrace, Griffiths Gates, Hanlon Heights, Daugaard Ave, all in the town of Paris. Brantford projects include Stratford Terrace and Glenwood Gates and currently in Simcoe with Kent Creek Estates, a 64 unit condo project.
As a second generation builder Jim Speelziek of Brant Terra Homes Ltd. prides himself on carrying on the tradition of excellent value with the quality every condominium purchaser deserves! This tradition of excellence was instilled in Jim by his father Jack Speelziek who with 45 years of experience has proven that quality and value can be achieved!
Being active in the community is also an important part of the Speelziek Family! Jim helped out in the build of the home for " Habitat For Humanity" in 2003 along with his brother Ed and the Brantford Fire Fighters. Jim also was involved with the Minor Hockey and Minor baseball system coaching his two sons for 8 years.
In Conclusion, Jim has carried on the tradition that his father began many years ago. Jim has an excellent rating with Tarion for the 20 years, showing his ability to build affordably but keeping quality in mind.
